From time to time we will feature the
photography of our friends from around the globe. Today we are proud to present
the incredible artistry of nature photographer extraordinaire Karl Schanz. The
pictures below—suitable for framing—were taken late last year while on a trip
to Bosque
del Apache in New Mexico. Karl tells us “The refuge is a wonderful area for birds in
the winter. The numbers are amazing: 54,000 Snow Geese; 17,000 Cranes; and 60,000 Ducks.”
Karl
is a member of the Greater Lynn and Lowell Camera Clubs in Massachusetts and has been a featured presenter at the
University of Massachusetts’ three-day photo convention in July. Additionally, Karl is part of USPhotogroup.com where you can view his amazing portfolio.
