Round
two of spring weeding has now been completed in the backyard hosta garden. A loamy, low and moist area, some really bad
stuff had taken root back there in an attempt to choke out the hostas. It
took 4 ½ hours—and some nasty wounds—to go thru this time. One unpleasant invader is some variety of
noxious weed that paralyzes your finger
when it comes in contact. For three days,
my index digit was numb. Wish I could
learn the art of gardening with gloves but I just have to dig my hands in the
dirt.
