The
last few days have seen some interesting visitors to Bon Bon Pond. The pictures below are of poor quality but I’m
posting anyway to illustrate the variety of wildlife that frequent the area.
The first set of snapshots show a Great Blue Heron down by the dock and the final photo is of a Turkey Vulture. The latter was part of a flock of four that came to feast on an unfortunate red fox that had passed away under the dock. These scavengers aren’t glamorous but the role they play in the ecosystem is an important one.
