Wild tur- keys are not the only
crea- tures to call Bon Bon Pond their per- manent home. Liberty, the majestic Bald Eagle, is also a
full-time resident. So beautiful, but so bashful, it’s almost impossible to get
a good photo of this regal raptor. The
grainy pics below were snapped thru the kitchen window screen and show Liberty
on his favorite perch—an elderly birch.
Hope springs eternal. Fingers and toes crossed that one of these
days I can get a good clear photo that does justice to the King of Bon Bon
Pond.
Liberty arrived a few years
back as an adolescent with streaks of brown still in his crown. It’s been a rare privilege to watch him mature
and prosper.
