Down
go the temps! Coldest air of the season is
on the way. Tonight, 16 below! Today's wind chill, 35 below.
My thoughts and prayers are with the wildlife—especially
the opossums and pheasants who are not native to cold weather climes. I am so glad we decided to leave the three
large brush piles until spring as they provide excellent shelter for both mammals
and birds. Fresh open water, as well as
seed and corn, plus natural foodstuffs, are also available here so hopefully my
outdoor friends will weather this two-day frigid spell.
Stay warm, Kathleen and your furry and feathery friends. It's brutally cold up here, too. We've been in the deep freeze for weeks now with highs of minus 25 to 30 and windchills of minus 40. I hope my outdoor friends will be okay.
ReplyDeleteWOW! You really are in a deep freeze. Fortunately, ours is only supposed to last two days then warmer weather is on the way.
