Country life just wouldn’t be
complete without a wood-burning fireplace. At Bon Bon Pond we use a Kodiak stove
insert. He wouldn’t win any beauty contests but the
old fella really cranks out the heat when you find his “sweet spot” (three
smaller logs strategically placed for proper ventilation).
This season’s wood arrived a week ago this past Wednesday. Due to the septic system and drain field, plus two old apple trees in dire need of trimming, the delivery man wasn’t able to drive up to the house. I’ve been transporting load after load in the John Deere pulled heavy hauler but don’t seem to be making much progress. The photo below was taken today.
