There’s no doubt about it,
the seasons, they are a-changin’! According to one of our local naturalists,
the early leaf turn is not on account of a hot and dry summer, but rather can
be attributed to a way early spring (90 degrees on St. Patrick’s Day!) that has
accelerated the tree’s timeline.
While wandering thru
picturesque May Township this past week I snapped the scene below which seemed
to perfectly sum up summer’s approaching demise.
For my way of thinking, this change seems way too early but as I'm constantly reminded, Mother Nature knows best.
