It
always happens. Every time I visit Fleet
Farm, I make a new acquaintance. It’s
usually some nice person I meet in the bird department. On Tuesday’ trip, though, my new friends were
four-legged and found in the parking lot.
Leaving the store I noticed a horse trailer parked near my car. Peering out of the large open windows were three
inquisitive equines. These beautiful animals
are part of the St. Paul Police Mounted Patrol Foundation. An active law enforcement unit--which consists
of four full time officers, three part time officers and five horses--they are
also involved with public relations and education.
